Miami Purple and Tropical

So several things are kinda cool to mention about this Miami wedding…my fave had to be the aerial artists — Cirque style. Very entertaining.
Another cool thing that not only do I, but also the benefactors appreciate is placing a small card at the tables stating that a donation in lieu of a total throwaway favor has been made. In this case the family donated to Austism. Awesome show of generosity!!
I find that when I first meet with brides, grooms, family and friends i ask them, “What do you envision for your wedding?” Sometimes they give me plenty to go off of…other times not so much. This bride told me purple and tropical. If you see an early wedding blog post of mine that was purple in California you can see how differently this color can be thrown around depending on the feel that the couple is looking for. Trump & Stunning!

Melinda and Josh — can you say “good lookin’ couple?” If you can say it with a country accent then you would get two thumbs up from this amazing duo. The church was St. Patrick’s in Miami Beach and the reception locale was the Trump yet again! Obviously the groom was a big FSU fan and what a treat to find proof of his new wife’s devotion to the team as well when the garter was removed. Once again the Munoz brothers have provided some great pics! Jewel tones were definitely the theme of this just before Christmas wedding. One kinda cool new thing we tried was draping ceiling fabric and projecting a gobo onto it. I like this idea quite a bit and will probably replicate it in the future!

Nicole’s Day Time Dream

Okay, I get a bit worried when I hear the words “day time” wedding. I always worry that these are great conditions for people to drink and have a good time. Well the Neustein /Moskowitz crowd proved me soooooo wrong. First off, Dalsimer Florists blew us all away with fabulous flowers. This wedding at the Trump International in Miami had every component that makes wedding great — a great band, paillette linens — LOVE THOSE, great photographers (Thanks Munoz brothers), dancing, dancing, dancing! We even brought back the 2nd line dance which is a traditional New Orleans style dance where the ladies get white boas and the guys get white hats and follow the bride around the room…all I can say is this wedding was fun, fun, fun!!

Anajli and Antoine – The Main Event

Okay this was a seriously cool party. Granted there was some wedding activity before the party…. Anjali wanted more than anything for her guests to have FUN! From the vodka ice luge serving the specialty “Mourani Mix”, to the hookah lounge, to the spanish guitarist during cocktail hour….sigh….this was only the beginning. The challenge: our venue was the gorgeous Trump International on Sunny Isles Beach — for both days. BTW — the Trump folks WE LOVE YOU, talk about service, service, service!! We had to create a complete transformation. Compare pics and let me know if we did it right! Check out the gorgeous photos from my good buddy Alain Martinez!

Stunning Bride!
Looking sharp Antoine!
Mom is sooooo proud — even in the reflection!
Quick restroom break — many thanks to Chocolate Restaurant!

Some gals get one limo — Anjali had 5!!!
Petals were not allowed in the church so we took things outside!
The room. Sick, sick, sick.

Draping is just that cherry on the top!

Now the fun starts!
Sometimes bribery is in order with our flower girls and ring bearers. Barbie about 2 hours ago was the prize….seems Barbie has commited a sin and will now have her feet removed for it!
Mourani Mix Anyone?
